Review: Deadly Memories by Amanda Siegrist

Deadly Memories by Amanda Siegrist

Synopsis and Details:

Love is scary…death is terrifying.

Deke Sumnter only has casual sex. Anything beyond that, he’s not interested. Until Charlotte. She’s smart, sexy, and something he’s always craved. But one time was all he could give her. He should’ve known it wouldn’t be enough. Now, she won’t even talk to him. He’d take just being friends over the silent treatment.

When trouble starts brewing again in their small town, this time targeting the woman he swears he doesn’t love, he won’t let anything stop him from protecting her, even if everything inside of him says he needs to stay as far away from her as possible.

Review with Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Deadly Memories is the fourth book in the Lucky Town series and this story both radiates tension and romance in equal measure. Nothing like being kept on my toes when reading a story, I love it! There is an acquaintances-to-lovers-to-enemies-to-friends-to, well, you can guess, trope taking place in this story and that will be a delight for many readers of romance. A little bit of everything plus danger, spicy! This series is remarked upon as being a standalone, and it can be read that way, but I strongly feel that having read the prequels would be beneficial to truly understanding the connections between the characters (outside of the love interest).

The main characters, Deke and Charlotte, are very entertaining. They are also both strong willed individuals and they clash throughout this story but you can’t help but want them together because they just seem so right for each other. I definitely want to mention that I really liked Deke’s sister. She was only a side character, and didn’t have as much time as I would have liked, but she was a sassy little thing and I adored her. I will wish upon a star that her story finds its way into this series or any other series. She is one that I would like to know more! Overall, Deadly Memories is a sweet little beach read that would give you plenty of amusement, plenty of romance, and many suspenseful moments! Grab your copy today!

About Amanda Siegrist:

Author Amanda Siegrist

I love anything that has to do with romance. As long as there’s a happy ending, I’m a happy camper. I love baseball (Go Twins!) and creating awesome crafts. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, working in that field for several years before I became a stay-at-home mom. When I’m not hanging out with my wonderful family, I’m writing a sweet contemporary romance or a romantic suspense that keeps you guessing until the end. I have a few more amazing stories in the works.
