Review with Rating:
Unknown Threat is the first book in the brand new and exciting series, Defend and Protect! The story starts off with adrenaline and high stakes and only intensifies from there. There are many thrilling moments in this story but what I really enjoyed was the tension between Faith and Luke. They had known each other professionally for some time but Luke had a deep distrust for the FBI and that had always kept a distance between him and Faith. When Faith is tasked with solving the murders of Luke’s teammates, it forces them both to work together and attraction flares between them.
Not only does Unknown Threat bring the heart pumping action but it also has wonderful elements of romance, forgiveness, and belief. Faith is a wonderful character and I loved that her sister was a part of this story because it was great to see someone with a disability represented. I really liked that Faith was a woman who had her own struggles that she was aware of and had to overcome. Luke was a guy who had inner angst and turmoil but who also had all the right elements for a person to swoon over. Overall, Unknown Threat was a nail biter that kept me on the edge of my seat with a story that delivered all the romance and suspense that I crave bundled with some amazing and memorable characters!
