Snowflakes and Shots by Amanda Siegrist

Synopsis and Details:

One last shot at love…

Stu doesn’t have many regrets in life—not even the fact he never decorates his bar for the holidays. But when a bar fight turns into needing medical attention, he’s put face-to-face with the one woman he’s tried to avoid for the last fifteen years. Okay, so maybe he regrets a few things. He should’ve never walked away from her. It only took a good knock to his head to make him see clearly. He’s going to win Chasity’s heart once again. It doesn’t matter that she’s not going to make it easy; he’s up for the challenge. Bring on the bets and all the Christmas spirit he can handle. Except, one person doesn’t like the idea of them together—the same person that had him walking away from her all those years ago.

Review with Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

What a lovely second chance holiday romance Snowflakes and Shots was! It was exactly what I wanted for this holiday season. Aww, sweet, sweet romance. Chasity and Stu, once lovers now adults who persistently avoid each other, are brought together by fate – or was it an out of control bar fight? Either way their path’s crossed and with much insight on Stu’s part and a little meddling of a kindly old man, Chasity and Stu’s lives would never be the same.

The past between these two characters was woven through the story by reminiscing and frank discussions. I much prefer that than to past-present scene flashbacks. Sometimes that doesn’t work out so well for me because I get bored waiting for the story to pick up in the present. Luckily, Snowflakes and Shots kept a good pace but it also had some angst and the outcome was on the ropes a time or two. I enjoy it when a romance keeps me guessing.

There was a bit of drama with a character who never played a true part but whose presence was felt nonetheless. I will say that Chasity’s sister, Hope, deserves her own book because she is amazing and she deserves a happily ever after!! She was such a great sister, even with the tough love, and without giving anything away – let’s just say that she planned an ambush that was really sweet. I will forever love her character for being such a thoughtful and caring sister. Too sweet! All in all, if you are looking for a delightful holiday romance that also include some seriously fun wintertime activities, then I would highly suggest Snowflakes and Shots to you.

About Amanda Siegrist:

Author Amanda Siegrist

I love anything that has to do with romance. As long as there’s a happy ending, I’m a happy camper. I love baseball (Go Twins!) and creating awesome crafts. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, working in that field for several years before I became a stay-at-home mom. When I’m not hanging out with my wonderful family, I’m writing a sweet contemporary romance or a romantic suspense that keeps you guessing until the end. I have a few more amazing stories in the works.
