Rating: 4 out of 5.

Bleed Me is the third book in the Haunted Roads series and this story is just that, haunting! There is much pain, anger, and unbelievable amounts of regret in this book. Going in, I wasn’t sure how I felt about a story with this man as a main character. Quite honestly, I didn’t like him previously (for obvious reasons if you’ve read Scar Me) and wasn’t sure if I cared about his story now. Sigh, but that is what India R. Adams does, she takes what is perceived to be a broken and despicable character, breaks them apart, shows us the good inside all the pain, and damnit if I am not pulled onto their side. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME! And I love it!! Also, Bleed Me is a story that brings to light much abuse, is not for sensitive readers, and I am being most sincere in this statement.

I cannot say that Bleed Me was an emotional roller coaster, nope, rather, it was a reader being buffeted around by large waves during a raging storm! There was blood, rage, and casualties both literal and metaphorically. Though, that was tempered with love, lust, compassion, loyalty, and sincere forgiveness, so much to overcome! The journey for these characters shows the strength and sincerity that they both possess to make a change in themselves, their circumstances, and the way in which they perceive the world. Bleed Me is a story that will strip down your preconceived notions about justice, what we have to give, and what we can survive. It is a haunting journey that will resonant with you long after the story is finished.

About the Author:

Author India R. Adams

India R. Adams is either hiding away and writing in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina, in a studio writing and recording songs for the Forever series, in yoga trying to find her Zen (that keeps escaping her), walking down an old dirt road (no joke), outdoors with her dogs and family (because to live without the sun is a crime), in a coffee shop talking books, or floating in a lake (when the weather permits).

She thinks reading books is the answer to all problems (and having a glass of red wine is a fabulous second solution). She loves to chat with readers because she says they are brilliant and most passionate.
