Review with Rating:
As unbelievable as this is going to sound, Bloodwitch might be the third book in The Witchlands series but it is by far my favorite one of the series! Seriously, Author Susan Dennard BROUGHT IT in this series installment! This story switches points of view from character to character (thank you!!!) and weaves a story that is all encompassing and surprising. I don’t know how the Author keeps track of everything going on in this series, I am thinking tons and tons of index cards are involved, but the amount of tension that she creates from chapter to chapter, even with some of the characters being separated by great distances, is just brilliantly done. There is so much going on in this story, with so much at stake, that it created a delicious sense of heightened excitement. Dreamy sigh…just wonderful!
In this book, Aeduan’s story is revealed and, just tear my heart out, was it ever devastating. This only added to the character growth of Bloodwitch Aeduan which was, *eyes fluttering with stars in them,* amazing. In addition, what has developed between Aeduan and Iseult was just…*gasps, sputters, sighs*…the best relationship ever!! Talk about romance chemistry! I ached, literally ached, for the moments when Aeduan and Iseult would interact. Every minute was worth the agony I felt when they were apart. There was also a clearer direction to where this series is going and I am bubbling with excitement and anticipation for the next book to be released! Yes, I know I am fangirling a lot in this review but Bloodwitch was such an amazing story and it is both a book and series that I absolutely highly recommend!
