Synopsis and Details:
To catch a thief…or fall for one?
All Nick Norton wants is to stay on the straight and narrow…and never get caught stealing again. Then he lays eyes on her: Stella Peretti—100 percent sexy and absolutely irresistible. Especially when he sees her smooth moves lifting a two-karat diamond. Nick realizes he’s found the sparkling woman of his dreams—one so perfect for him it’s almost criminal.
The Shimmy Shimmy Bangs are master jewel thieves who are planning the heist of the century. And Shimmy leader, Stella, isn’t about to let anyone—even if he is a hunky, tatted-up studmuffin—get in her way. But when two of her girls are put out of commission, Stella realizes that Nick isn’t just a red-hot distraction. He might be the answer to her pilfering prayers.
Now, Nick and Stella are putting everything on the line for one last job. But when two thieves have this much chemistry, it’s only a matter of time before somebody’s heart gets stolen.

Review with Rating:
I am a sucker for high intensity heist stories, even better if there is a romance angle and I especially love it when there is a con involved that puts one over for the underdogs. This story had it all and I appreciated that the main characters in Shimmy Bang Sparkle were not juvenile characters who were perfecting their craft. No, Stella Peretti and her pals had been running cons since before they hit puberty and they knew exactly what they were doing. The love interest, Nick Norton, who was a thief as well, had just come out of prison for a deal gone bad and all he wanted was to never visit that place or any like it again but when he spotted Stella, all his well-intentioned plans went right out the window. He knew she was bad news but bad never looked this good and he just had to know more about her!
The intensity of the attraction as well as the urge to stay away that Nick experienced really grabbed my emotions and interest. I felt utterly intrigued from the start of the story and I always love that! It was also humorous because at the opening Nick’s one-sided conversation sounded like he had a devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other. I was caught up in wondering which avenue he was going to choose and then I was caught up in reading how his choice panned out. He was definitely a walking “sex on a stick” type of character and I loved that he was also an older character who had it all going on. I know there are a lot of “loves” in this review but I just loved it!
Well what about the plot? The plot was fun and fast paced. The romance element and sexy times were hot, hot, HOT! My emotions were all wrapped up in Shimmy Bang Sparkle and the ending was quite the twist and romantic in its very own way. I will say that as far as heist stories go it was light hearted and did not have the tension and conflict that usually come with that trope. The scenes that should have had the tension I would expect were mitigated by the cutest show stopper of the canine variety. Priscilla the dachshund, she added much humor and levity to what would have been rather tense times.
What would I have changed about this story?! Give me more about the Shimmy Shimmy Bangs! I loved this group of women and although I was given a brief history about them and their Robin Hood ways I wanted more, please GIVE.ME.MORE! Let’s just turn this book into a series so that we can get to know more about the characters and then let’s have a spinoff series where we can read more about how they became the Shimmy Shimmy Bangs. Like Sheldon did from The Big Bang Theory, ha ha ha, I just really loved the camaraderie between Stella, Ruth and Roxie! Overall, I loved Shimmy Bang Sparkle for so many wonderful reasons and I can’t recommend it enough!!
